It’s been 5 years since people in Belarus rose up against dictatorship and for months tried to get rid of authoritarian regime through peaceful demonstrations, direct actions, strikes and acts of sabotage. The world has changed radically since that uprising with situation in the region is becoming even more precarious following russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Lukashenka currently jails 25 anarchists, 8 with 10+ year sentences. At this anniversary we are going to look into the past, talk about the reality of anti-repression work and prisoner condictions, as well as potential for change.
